Christmas Opening Times
The Wilson Health Centre will be open EVERY day over the Christmas holidays from 8.00am to 8.00pm, including Christmas and Boxing Day. You do not need to be registered at the surgery to use the walk-in facilities.
Dr. Anirban Gupta, a GP at the centre, says “at a time of year where family and friends are travelling all over the country it is important for people to know that they can still receive healthcare advice and treatment. We will therefore be fully staffed every day of the festive holiday to treat our registered and walk-in patients”.
Michele Izzo, practice manager at Wilson Health Centre, comments “historically it has been difficult to see a GP during bank holidays, when many surgeries are closed. This has resulted in A&E departments becoming particularly busy over the Christmas period. By staying open every day we hope to continue to remove the pressure on the local hospitals by providing quick and efficient healthcare to those who need it.”
